When Does Christmas in Branson Start?

Branson’s citywide Ozark Mountain Christmas season runs from the beginning of November into early January. Theaters swap in their Christmas productions, Silver Dollar City lights up for An Old Time Christmas, and Lights of Joy opens every night from November 1 through January 3, 5–11 PM. If you’re planning a trip, here’s how the season really feels, month by month.

November

The Calm Glow

All-new displays debut on opening night, roads are lighter, and Santa lines are at their shortest. The insider’s month, same show, none of the crush.

December

Peak Ozark Mountain Christmas

The whole town is lit and every theater is playing. It’s the busiest and brightest stretch, and the free map’s time-saver routes earn their keep between shows.

Dec 26 – Jan 3

The Encore

The rush heads home; the lights don’t. The week after Christmas is the quietest, coziest drive of the season, and we shine every night through January 3.
